Turn a pack of sola flowers into a full foraging adventure with the 5199 Handmade Wood Flower Box from M&M Bird Toys. Every box is built right here in our shop. We cut the wood parts to size, sand them smooth by hand and laser etch the logo and lettering on the front in house. Each box arrives filled with a fluffy bed of crinkle paper, ready for flowers and play.
The box is made from unfinished, untreated, kiln-dried spruce, pine and fir lumber, so there are no stains, paints or sealers, just clean natural wood. It measures about 6.5 inches long, 5 inches wide and 4 inches tall, giving birds a sturdy little structure they can perch on, climb over and explore. The smooth, sanded wood feels good under the feet and is safe for curious beaks to nibble and chew.
The box makes a wonderful companion for our sola roses and sola flower assortments. Tuck the flowers into the crinkle paper and set the box on the cage floor or a playtop. Birds will climb up the sides, dig down into the bed of flowers and pull out both sola blooms and crinkle paper to shred, toss and carry around. It turns a simple foot toy into a rewarding foraging station.
Refill the box with fresh crinkle, sola flowers or favorite treats to keep the fun going. It is a great fit for small and medium birds like budgies, cockatiels, lovebirds and conures.
